Iconic Images of Ireland and Maine. Ziggy (Mary) Hartfelder is a Salem -based photographer who has spent the last decade and a half photographing the evocative, haunting landscapes of rural Ireland. As a first generation Irish-American, she was raised in the tradition of song, spirit, and love of the land that her grandparents left behind when they emigrated to upstate New York. Ziggy has recently begun working with fellow artists, photographing them as they create & perform, and is building a body of work dedicated to her beloved Peaks Island, Maine.

Salem Theatre Company's third Main Stage production of Season Ten is Conor McPherson’s Shining City, set in Dublin where John, a guilt-ridden man (played by Stephen Cooper of Marblehead) reaches out to a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. Wrestling with his own demons, the therapist (played by Joseph O’Meara of Brookline) can only do so much to help. Routine visits between the two men quickly become a gripping struggle to survive, changing both of them for the rest of their lives. Shining City has been called “a thoughtful, artful, absorbing new drama…" from “the finest dramatist of his generation."

Also featured in the cast are Angela Gunn of Somerville and J. Garner Redmond of Belchertown. James Wilkinson of Danvers is the production stage manager, and Bruce Greenwald, Gregory Mancusi- Ungaro, Jean Fogle and John Fogle of Marblehead will design Set, Lighting, Set Decoration and Sound respectively.
